Travel on the Worcestershire on Demand bus service in Wychavon will remain free until the end of September.

The brand-new bus service launched at the beginning of August, to connect passengers to their destinations without fixed routes or timetables.

Originally launched with free rides for the first month, the offer has now been extended, giving even more people the chance to try this convenient new way to get from A to B.

Journeys are capped at 15 kilometres (approximately 9 miles) as the crow flies and smaller vehicles are being used to navigate rural roads.

Passengers book journeys through the Worcestershire on Demand app, available to download from the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app allows users to select their pick-up and drop-off points, guiding them to nearby 'virtual bus stops' and provides real-time updates on bus arrival times.

The service operates Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 7pm. Fares will be £2.50 per person per journey, with £1.25 for additional passengers. Concessionary cards are accepted, and veterans can ride free of charge. Frequent travellers can also benefit from discounted ticket bundles.
